| It all started with a shirt
And then the story evolves with star names from Emmanuelle Kahn to Sarah Moon. Everything starts in 1958, when Jean Bousquet, born in Nimes and taylor degreed, decides to come to Paris to create a business of pants for Women at the 6th floor of a Hausmannian building. 4 years later, on March 16th of 1962, he named the brand “Jean Cacharel”, on November 8th of 1963 he made his first Elle cover. His first success is a “Crepon Shirt” shot by Peter Knapp, immediately called “the cacharel”.
Fifty years later, Cacharel is an iconic brand in the ready to wear industry. Freshness, romanticism, freedom and avant-garde describe Cacharel. The brand continues to create the style of a strong woman who likes to play with fashion codes without being influenced.
Since March 2009, for Spring Summer 2010, Cédric Charlier designs his first collection for Cacharel.
